Dance with the Devil

Amelie just went through a divorce, something she never hoped to experience. It happened unexpectedly, in a moment of her life which was at a good point. Her relationship started out like a dream which unfortunately turned out as a nightmare. For many times she tried to reconnect with her partner, but it never worked out. Just like memories, visions appear in between this internal voyage: visions of happiness that will hopefully come back; figures pushing her to give in, and distorted thoughts. She remembered the time when she was happy, in love. But also the moments when she knew she couldn’t bear it anymore. She recalled when they grew tired of each other and took their distance. However, she always turned back to look for him, and when he disappeared she felt a big void. Life began to crumble just like her mind. Amelie felt the need to be with this person to continue living. Her thoughts became gradually distorted until she fell into an addiction: alcohol. Bottle after bottle, sip after sip, she tried to forget him but it just led to a deep confusion. My inspiration was Katy Perry's song which shares the same title.
